We are initiating a user donation model in order to offset some of the costs associated with the site. There are certain costs associated with maintaining this site in addition to the standard web-site costs of server rental and bandwidth cost. For example, each scanner feed requires a dedicated scanner and a dedicated computer. Digital cameras as well as video cameras and their accessories also add to the cost.

Additionally, each certified letter that is sent requesting public information cost $5.21. I know that does not sound like much but multiply that many times and the figure starts to grow. Also, many times it is necessary to pay per page for the public information that we obtain. We always attempt to have these fees waived since this information is going to contribute to public knowledge, but sometimes we must pay to get the information.

If you want your user name to be displayed in the donor list on the front page of The Woodlands Monitor, you must be logged in before you begin the donation process.
If you are unable, uncomfortable or unwilling to make a monetary donation, then consider donating your time to help us gather public information.
