District 2 - Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)

On 05/04/2008, 1810, Deputy K. D. Bishop and Cpl. J. Russell were dispatched to the 10600 block of Six Pines in reference to a wanted fugitive. Sgt. B. Fitzgerald met the deputies at the location and they proceeded to the apartment. Several males were in the apartment and all were identified. The key holder on the residence advised the wanted subject had gone to walk the dog. A dog was observed in the apartment with a leash. Once again the key holder to the apartment denied knowing the whereabouts of the wanted subject. While searching the apartment, the fugitive, W/M, 42, was found and apprehended on three felonies, Indecency with a child, Aggravated Sexual Assault of a child and Failure to Appear. The key holder, W/M, 41, of the apartment was arrested for Hindering Apprehension of a Fugitive, M/A.

Deputy G. Fruge and Sgt. S. Altemus were dispatched to the 16900 block of Larkspur in reference to a Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. Complainant advised he heard a loud explosion and observed a neighbor jumping around in the street proclaiming "Done it and I can make another one". Several statements were taken from witnesses and all advised the subject had made a device out of sparklers and then detonated it in the street. A white male, 18, was arrested for Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, F3.

On 05/07/2008, 0101, Cpl. J. P. Gonzales and several other deputies were dispatched to a Burglary in Progress in the 25600 I-45 N. Contact was made with a male subject exiting the apartment in question who advised the apartment was his until it burned last month. The subject was observed to have red blood shot eyes, slurred speech and unsteady balance. He smelled strongly of alcohol while speaking. He admitted to having a crack pipe in his pocket and a search yielded the pipe. The suspect, W/M, 36, was arrested and a further search yielded a cocaine rock. He was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, SJF.

Sgt, J. Jenkins observed on 05/08/2008, 2328, a vehicle leaving the area of Alden Woods at Gosling. The vehicle had rear defective brake light. He followed the vehicle and observed it traveling across the lanes of travel. He initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, W/M, 27. The driver could not produce a DL or insurance on the vehicle. An open 12 pack of beer was sitting in the front passenger seat and two open containers were sitting in the front console. Trooper I. Valdez, Texas DPS, came to the scene and conducted field sobriety tests, because the suspect spoke little English. Suspect was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, M/B.

On 05/11/2008, 0059, Sgt. J. Jenkins observe a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and not stopping at designated stop sign. A traffic stop was initiated and driver, W/M, 64, was interviewed and he admitted to having a beer. Field sobriety tests were administered and driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, M/A.

District 6 - Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)

On 05/09/2008, 2253, Deputy S. Spencer was dispatched to 1550 Lake Robbins in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, Deputy Spencer met with two witnesses who advised the assault had occurred and the victim was taken to the emergency room. The victim was in and out of consciousness at the hospital and had several bloody contusions on his head and back. A total of five witnesses gave statements and the suspect, W/M, 19, was located at his residence and arrested for Assault, M/A.

During the week of 05/06/2008 - 05/13/2008 fifteen (15) arrests were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive for misdemeanor thefts.

M/C = Class C Misdemeanor - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.
SJF = State Jail Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 180 days to 2 years.
F3 = 3rd Degree Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 2 to 10 years.
F2 = 2nd Degree Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 2 to 20 years.
F1 = 1st Degree Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 5 to 99 years.
SFST = Standardized Field Sobriety Test
