District 2 - Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)

On 04/08/2008, 1750, Cpl. J. Russell responded to call for assistance in stopping a reckless driver southbound of I-45. Cpl. Russell observed the vehicle driving erratically on I-45 crossing three lanes of heavy traffic in an unsafe manner. The suspect attempted to pass a fire truck and Cpl. Russell initiated a traffic stop and driver advised “I’m sorry sir. I’m having a bad day”. Driver, W/M, 22, was arrested for Reckless Driving, M/B.

Cpl. J. P. Gonzales was dispatched on 04/09/2008, 0019, to the 1400 block of Sawdust Road in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, Cpl. Gonzales observed four subjects. A marijuana cigar and an open bottle of beer were observed. While speaking with two of the subjects, one admitted the beer was his and two citations were issued for Minor in Possession, M/C and Consumption of Alcohol on Licensed Premises, M/C. The second subject was observed to have blood shot eyes, slurred speech and unsteady balance. Subject agreed to a Portable Breath Test and due to his level on intoxication, he was taken into custody for Public Intoxication. The subject, W/M, 18, after being interviewed by Sgt. J. Jenkins, admitted to have beer and marijuana in the truck of his vehicle. He was arrested for Possession of Marijuana in a Drug Free Zone, SJF.

On 04/09/2008, 2224, Cpl. S. Spiller responded to a call in the 1400 block of Sawdust in reference to a disturbance in progress. While talking to the reportee, Cpl. Spiller heard a male subject yelling and slamming the door of an apartment. Cpl. Spiller observed the subject, W/M, 38 as he walked toward her in an aggressive manner. He was sweating profusely and had the strong odor of alcohol. Two witnesses advised subject had been involved in a disturbance. Suspect was taken into custody and while being searched, a baggy of marijuana was found in his boot. He was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, M/B and Public Intoxication, Public Intoxication, M/C.

Deputy M. Uber was dispatched on 04/12/2008, 1627, to the 9400 block of College Park in reference to a shoplifter in custody. Deputy Uber identified suspect as B/M, 36. The subject had been issued a trespass warning previously for this address. Deputy Uber took suspect into custody Criminal Trespass, M/B.

On 04/13/2008, 0440, Deputy K. Christensen initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle cross over three lanes of traffic without using a signal and failed to maintain single lane of traffic. Contact was made with the driver, W/M, 23. Driver had a strong odor alcohol when he spoke, and had glass red bloodshot eyes. Suspect advised he had consumed a six pack of beer. Deputy A. Swank arrived and conducted Field Sobriety Tests and it was determined, the suspect was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, M/B.

District 6 - Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)

On 04/10/2008, 1310, Deputy D. Whitworth was dispatched to 1550 Lake Woodlands in reference to a forgery in progress. Complainant advised a female customer had presented a check for $1,684.88 to purchase a plasma television. The complainants became suspicious because the check looked like a fake. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department was called after the bank advised the check was a fake. Deputy Whitworth placed the suspect, B/F, 19, was placed into custody for Forgery, SJF. Suspect had several fake drivers’ licenses in her possession, as well as, more fake checks and papers with identifying information on two other persons. She was also charged with Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information, F/3 and Tampering with Govt Doc x 2, F2.

M/A = Class A Misdemeanor - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $4,000 and/or a maximum of one year in jail.
M/B = Class B Misdemeanor - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000 and/or a maximum of 180 days in jail.
M/C = Class C Misdemeanor - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.
SJF = State Jail Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 180 days to 2 years.
F3 = 3rd Degree Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 2 to 10 years.
F2 = 2nd Degree Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 2 to 20 years.
F1 = 1st Degree Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 5 to 99 years.
SFST = Standardized Field Sobriety Test
