DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED

On 02/26/2008, 0210, initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle driving without headlights while driving on Sawdust Road. The driver, W/F, 26, was the only occupant and had a strong odor of alcohol. She initially refused to exit the vehicle and was not responding to verbal commands. Suspect continued to be uncooperative after arriving at the MCSO jail. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, M/B.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA

On 02/28/2008, 1504, Deputy T. McCoy observed a male subject walking on Glen Loch Drive. The male appeared to be trying to hide something in his front pocket. The subject was stopped and identified as W/M, 19. The subject was shaking and extremely nervous. He stated he had nothing in his possession such as drugs, guns, etc. Male gave his permission to search and Deputy McCoy found a baggy of marijuana. Suspect was charged with Possession of Marijuana, M/A.

DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED

On 02/29/2008, 0133, Cpl. S. Spiller was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at Greenbridge and Research Forest. After making contact with the driver, Cpl. Spiller observed the W/M, 21, to have red and blood shot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol. The subject admitted to having four beers. Field sobriety tests were performed and it was determined the subject was intoxicated. He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, M/B.

District 6 - Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)

THEFT

On 02/25/2008, 1600, Deputy D. Houstoun was dispatched to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, Deputy Houstoun met with complainant who advised a W/F, 28, had placed clothing in her baby stroller and exited the store without attempting to pay for the items. The subject had her four month old infant with her. She was detained by store loss prevention and Deputy Houstoun arrested subject for Theft, M/B. Suspect’s husband was contacted and he came and took custody of their infant child.

W/M = White Male
B/M = Black Male
W/F = White Female
B/F = Black Female
M/A = Class A Misdemeanor - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $4,000 and/or a maximum of one year in jail.
M/B = Class B Misdemeanor - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000 and/or a maximum of 180 days in jail.
M/C = Class C Misdemeanor - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.
SJF = State Jail Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 180 days to 2 years.
F3 = 3rd Degree Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 2 to 10 years.
F2 = 2nd Degree Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 2 to 20 years.
F1 = 1st Degree Felony - Punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and confinement in state jail for 5 to 99 years.
