In addition to a gunshot wound suffered by a female this afternoon at the Village Square Apartments, there was a car chase that wound down Lake Woodlands to East Panther Creek and through Creekwood Park.
The vehicle the authorities were pursuing was listed as stolen out of Alabama. The suspects proceeded to elude capture while damaging at least two vehicles in the parking lot of the church adjacent to Creekwood Park. The suspects then drove their vehicle down the pathway, hitting a tree along the way, from the Creekwood Park area to Coralberry Road. The vehicle then exited the pathway and continued on Panther Creek to Tangle Brush.
The suspects made their way into the Timber Lakes area and managed to cross Spring Creek into Harris County on foot. Tracking dogs were brought to the scene and Harris County authorities joined the hunt for the suspects. Both suspects were eventually apprehended just west of Gosling Road a few miles south of the Harris County/Montgomery County line.
The chase started at approximately 7:15 p.m. and ended approximately 9:15 p.m.
The above information is what was gathered from radio traffic and from some scene investigation. We will attempt to gain more information if possible from Montgomery County authorities.
