The Woodlands Monitor (The Woodlands, TX) - Wednesday afternoon at approximately 4:00 p.m. an individual was the victim of an aggravated robbery along the pathway near Southshore Park in The Woodlands. Southshore Park is located on the north side of Woodlands Parkway between Grogan's Mill Road and East Panther Creek Drive.
According to detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the victim was walking east along the pathway towards Lake Woodlands when a male jumped out of the wooded area adjacent to the pathway. The suspect stuck something up against the victim's back and demanded he hand over his wallet. The victim turned around and observed a male in his forties with a small "square-style" pistol.
The victim complied with the suspect's request and gave up the wallet.
The suspect fled west and escaped the area.
The victim's wallet was recovered a short distance from the incident minus some cash.
The suspect is described as a white male in his forties, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds with long blond or white hair. At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing blue jean shorts and a white t-shirt.
