| Post-Burglary Vehicle Pursuit Sends Three to Hospital |

The Woodlands, TX (The Woodlands Monitor) - At approximately 4:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, a resident of The Woodlands arrived home to find two burglars in their house. Responding to the call, a deputy sheriff staged a short distance from the home which is located on Ellwood in the Grogan's Mill area. Soon thereafter, the deputy spotted a suspicious vehicle leaving the area and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle briefly pulled over then fled southbound on Grogan's Mill Road at a high rate of speed. |

| TEC Processes Category One Complaint Against State Senator Tommy Williams |

The Woodlands Monitor (The Woodlands, TX) - On January 31, 2008, the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC) received a sworn complaint dated January 27, 2008 from Montgomery County, TX resident, Bob Bagley. The complaint alleged Texas State Senator, Tommy Williams, " [f]ailed to disclose the political committee 'Texans for Tommy Williams' ..." which both collects and spends campaign contributions on behalf of the senator. |

| Midday Fire Damages Woodlands Home |

The Woodlands Monitor (The Woodlands, TX) - The Woodlands Fire Department and South Montgomery County Fire Department were dispatched to a residential fire on Rockfern in the High Oaks area at approximately 12:10 p.m. today. Units first on-scene reported flames coming from a second story window. |

The Woodlands Monitor (The Woodlands, TX) - The Woodlands V.O.I.C.E. Political Action Committee treasurer, Rebecca Tatum, recently received a notice of complaint from the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC). The complaint alleges Ms. Tatum, as treasurer for the committee, "improperly reported political contributions, political expenditures, and political contributions maintained on pre-election campaign finance reports...." |

The Woodlands Monitor (The Woodlands, TX) - In July and August, Town Center Improvement District (TCID) board members, Kemba DeGroot (Secretary), Vicki Richmond, Edmund Robb and Alex Sutton each signed a Texas Ethics Commission (TEC) Assurance of Voluntary Compliance document. In addition to signing and agreeing to the terms of the documents, one board member, Edmund Robb also agreed to pay a $100.00 civil fine. Additionally, in September, another TCID board member, Les Tarrance, signed an Agreed Order and Resolution in which he payed a $300.00 civil fine. |

The Woodlands Monitor (The Woodlands, TX) - The autopsy results for Sean Dubose were released on June 13, 2007. Remember, Mr. Dubose was discovered in a severely burned vehicle in the early morning hours of March 28, 2007. The forensic pathologist ruled the cause of death as, "smoke inhalation with carbon monoxide and cyanide toxicity and ethanol intoxication." The manner of death was accidental. |

The Woodlands Monitor (The Woodlands, TX) - In September of this year, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department revised their longstanding standard operating procedure (SOP) in regards to motor vehicle accidents (MVA). The previous policy (SOP 4.05) had been in place since March of 1997. |

This site can still be accessed as usual through the Traffic Cameras menu item on the Main Menu on the left hand side of each page on this site. |

Paul Barrett, 48, of The Woodlands, TX passed away May 13, 2006 after a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). After graduating from Texas A&M in 1984 he enjoyed family, bible study, soccer and reading. |

| Bank Robbery at Amergy Bank |

At approximately 4:30 p.m. this afternoon law enforcement units were dispatched to a bank robbery at Amergy Bank on Sawdust Road. The suspect was reported as a Hispanic male with a black mustache. |
